I received my B.Sc. in Biological
Sciences from Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, B.C., Canada, in 1970
and followed this with three years of postgraduate studies in mycology.
I was a research assistant in botany in 1974-1975 and subsequently a research
assistant in animal physiology between 1975 and 1980.
My copy-editing experience began with Springer-Verlag in 1976 and continues
to the present time. My areas of specialty with Springer have been theoretical
and applied genetics, plant physiology, and cell culture. The journals I have copy-edited for Springer are: Theoretical and Applied Genetics; Plant Cell Reports; Journal of Plant Research; Sexual Plant Reproduction. I have a good
working knowledge of life sciences and bio-medical fields.
I also have experience in the translation field--Dutch to English--on
a number of subjects.
